Chardonnay, Mendocino County, 2009
Mendocino County, just north of Sonoma County, is cooler than either Sonoma or Napa counties and is a perfect place for Chardonnay that is bright and crisp, a perfect food wine. This Chardonnay is refreshingly clean and pure. It brings out the full flavor of Sea Bass and oysters. It is delightful with Pesto Pasta or a ham sandwich. It’s a young wine that will open up rapidly as you swirl it in your glass, while enjoying its nose that reminds me of springtime in the vineyard.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County, 2007
An exceptional wine from one of world’s best places for Cabernet Sauvignon, this is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It was whole-berry fermented to retain a huge amount of fruit character and was aged in French and American Oak barrels for almost three years. It if full bodied with tons of cherry, and blackberry flavor, violets and cedar in the nose, soft tannins and low acid. It is friendly and delicious and pairs perfectly with red meat.

Sangiovese, Napa County, 2007
Sangiovese is one of the lesser-known grapes of Napa County, yet it grows perfectly in Napa, evoking copious amounts of ripe strawberry and raspberry flavor developed under the Napa sun-drenched afternoon. Like all our wines, it is gentle on the palate with forward fruit, a well-developed structure, soft tannins and low acid. It’s perfect with Italian food, grilled veggies and our favorite risotto. The grapes were grown organically and the wine was made organically. Simply delicious.
