Spencerfield Sheep Dip Old Hebridean 1990Sheep Dip “Old Hebridean” 1990 Blended Malt

REGION – Fife

NOSE – Rich and distinguished, with rounded peat smoke, engine oil, plums, sherry and brine.

PALATE – Fruity with vanilla, spice, coffee and wood smoke. It becomes more citric with time, and the addition of water releases flavours of brittle toffee.

When it comes to a truly outstanding vatted malt, our Old Heb is a real rarity. So rare, in fact, that only 700 cases were ever made.

Crafted by third generation Master Blender, Richard Paterson, this limited-edition 1990 vintage whisky is made with 19 year old Dalmore, 21 year old Fettercairn and 25 year old Ardbeg, then matured in first fill oak casks for 15 years. The result? An exquisite blend – the aggressive smokiness of Islay, coupled with the smooth sweetness of the highlands, for an unparalleled depth, maltiness and complexity… there’s certainly no need to add water to this classic!

Our current bottling is with Springbank Distillery, a 12 Year Old Single Cask, Cask Strength, Single malt, matured in Refill Sherry Casks. Click here to learn more.
