NOSE – A subtle ash note is followed by a fruity edge with hints of ripe peaches. Some delicate fresh mint notes linger.
PALATE – Defined spices – cinnamon. Hints of almond are infused with sweet influences and creamy textures.
After an initial maturation period the whisky is transferred into Spanish oak casks from the Pedro Ximenez soleras of Williams & Humbert and ‘finished’ for a further 30 months. The history of Bodegas Williams & Humbert goes back nearly 130 years. They participated in the creation of the Jerez-Xérès-Brandy Quality Demarcation and are now considered to be one of the world’s most prestigious wine producers.
